The Nanjing Massacre was terrible thing that the Japanese did. The Japanese took over china and murdered innocent civilians and raped many women and children. It started in December 13, 1937 and ended about early February 1938. It lasted for 6 weeks, 6 long weeks. About 1/3 of the population was dead 200,000 women were raped. 300,000 were murdered by Japanese including women and children. The Japaneses claimed that they murdered all those Chinese because they were not willing to die. Now the historians are saying that that the "Nanjing incident" did not happpen. They dont want to fess up for what they did. The Japaneses can't hid the trueth because the soliders took pictures and they have certain types of evidence that the Nanjing Massacre really did happen.
